A Guide to Public Use Cabins in Alaska
Travel Alaska was a content partner of mine while I was with Booyah Advertising. I’ve been pretty fascinated by Alaska ever since I was a kid when did my state report on Alaska in the 5th grade. Since then I have visited “The Last Frontier” multiple times, so being able to work with their tourism department was a really exciting prospect for me. Our contract with them was primarily for onsite SEO and blog optimizations, but I was able to write and contribute a couple of articles to their site.
This article on public-use cabins was one of my first times using AI for article research. Our agency was trying to cut down article turnaround time and with the booming popularity of ChatGPT in early 2023, we decided to see what it could provide. What I ended up getting was 5 suggestions for cabins to mention within the article. I cautiously thought “Well great, that cut down research a ton!” Too bad after I checked my sources and did my research, I realized all of the cabins that ChatGPT suggested and wrote 100-word blurbs for actually didn’t exist! Always check your sources (human or otherwise).
